Behaviors
Before we start, it's important to know how to use ChatGPT to its full potential.
Think of it this way: ChatGPT is like an actor ready to play any role you want.
Do you want it to sound like a marketer, full of strategies and sales pitches? No problem! Or maybe you need a journalist to help you write an article? That's possible too! Or maybe a project manager to help you manage your tasks? You guessed it, that's possible too!
All you have to do is tell ChatGPT what role it should play. The clearer and more specific you are, the better ChatGPT can help you. So, what role do you want ChatGPT to play for you today? Let's get started! Job examples: Marketer, advertiser, mindset coach, bestselling author, therapist, website designer, journalist, inventor, cfo, copywriter, prompt engineer, accountant, lawyer, analyst, ghostwriter, project manager.
Prompt example:
Write as [job title]...
What do you want?
Now that you know how to instruct ChatGPT to take on different roles, it's time for the next step: telling it what to produce.
ChatGPT is not only a chameleon in roles, but also in the type of content it can create. Whether you need an engaging article, a catchy social media post, or a delicious recipe, ChatGPT can do it all!
All you have to do is clearly state what you want ChatGPT to create.
Say for example:
"Write an article about climate change"
or
"Create a social media post about my new product"
or
"Give me a recipe for vegetarian lasagna".
The more specific you are, the better the result will be. Content Examples: Headline, Article, Essay, Book Review, Email Series, Social Media Post, Product Description, Cover Letter, Blog Post, SEO Keywords, Summary, Video Script, Recipe, Sales Copy, Analysis, Ad Copy
Example Prompt:
Write a [content] as a [job title]...
In what form?
Now that you know how to instruct ChatGPT to take on different roles and what type of content it should produce, it's time for the final step: the form of the output.
ChatGPT is super flexible when it comes to the form of the output. Whether you need a PDF, an Excel file, a word cloud or a table, ChatGPT can handle it for you!
All you have to do is clearly state in what form you want ChatGPT to deliver the output.
For example, say:
"Give me the information in a PDF"
or
"I want the data in an Excel file"
or
"Create a word cloud of the key terms"
or
"Present the data in a table".
The more specific you are, the better the result. Output examples: A table, list, summary, HTML, code, spreadsheet, graph, csv file, plain text, JSON, rich text, PDF, XML, markdown, Gantt chart, word cloud.
Example prompt:
Write a [content] in the form of an [output] as [function]...
Extras
Now that you have the basics of working with ChatGPT down, let's take it to the next level. Did you know that you can provide extra context to make ChatGPT's output even better?
ChatGPT is like a sponge, it absorbs all the information you give and uses it to create the best output. So if you want a specific tone, such as formal, informal, humorous or serious, let us know! If there is a specific context, such as a backstory or a specific audience, share that too. Do you have a favorite quote you want to include? Let us know! Or maybe you have a specific call-to-action in mind? Let ChatGPT know!
The more context you provide, the better ChatGPT will be able to create an output that meets your exact needs:
Audience: State the audience of your piece and provide context about this audience. Tone: Specify desired tone (e.g. formal, informal, informative, persuasive)
Purpose: State the purpose or goal of the response (e.g. inform, persuade, entertain)
